I learned by doing, helping my mother cook at home and working in restaurants growing up on Cape Cod. Those early experiences led me to pursue an B.A. in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales. I began cooking in the Boston-area at Blue Ginger in Wellesley, followed by Tavolo in Dorchester. I opened The James in Needham and The Porch in Medford.

My food is often grounded in my New England roots, but I am also inspired by my travels abroad to Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia.
